THE NESİN VİLLAGE
The Nesin Village is in reality three villages merged into one: the Maths Village, the Arts Village and the Philosophy Village. The Nesin Village is at its core a place that was created so that young people could have a place to study and think about maths, art, philosophy and related areas – a safe place, a free place, a beautiful place. Since the Nesin Mathematics Village was the first to be created, we sometimes say “The Village” or “NMV” to speak about all three.
The Village is also an centre for science and arts, hosting multiple academic events and activities throughout the year. It is a non-profit organisation built on a collaborative and cooperative philosophy. We provide room and board for participants of our events, but apart from their activities they also participate in the daily running of the Village, thus taking ownership of this collective project. The Village belongs to us all!
