Reaching Selçuk (pronounced Seltshouk)
1) By Bus. There may be bus companies that have regular services to Selçuk from the town where you are. Otherwise, first go to Izmir and from Izmir you can take a bus to Selçuk. There is one such bus every 60 minutes and they leave from Izmir`s main bus station (Izmir Otogar). The first one is at 7:00 AM. The last one is at 9:00 PM.
2) By Plane. There are a couple of possibilities to get from Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport to Selçuk.
a) The minibus (dolmuş) that come from the town of Gaziemir and go to Selçuk stop near the airport. To take one of these buses you can either go to the nearby Migros by taxi or you can walk directly to the minibus stop from the airport’s car entrance. There is about one minibus approximately per hour from 6:40 AM until 8:30 PM (may change depending on traffic).
b) You can take the train from the airport. The schedule is here. (For the train schedule from Selçuk to the airport, see here. )
c) The airport shuttle (Havaş) going to Kuşadası stops in Selcuk. You will find the shuttle schedule here.
d) You can take the metro, called IZBAN. However, you must go fırst from the airport to Tepeköy (caution – not every metro stops there) and then change there to the Selçuk line. Timetables can be found here (page in Turkish).
3) By Train. There may also be train services from your location to Selçuk train station. Please check here. (For the trains departing from Selçuk, see this schedule.)
4) By car. From Izmir, head south towards Aydın. After about 50 km you will arrive at the Torbalı exit where there are toll booths. About 20 km after the tolls you will arrive at the Selçuk tolls. Follow the signs for Selçuk. At Selçuk turn left at the first traffic lights; after around 200 meters you will reach the road to Şirince – follow the road signs. Right at the entrance to Şirince you will see a little dirt road to your left. Follow signs to the Nesin Village. Note: there is very little space to park in the Village. If conditions permit, we prefer that you park in Şirince and walk to the Village.
Reaching Şirince (pronounced Shirindjé).
There are minibuses from Selçuk Garage (Otogar) to Şirince. There is one minibus every 20 minutes from 07:20 AM till 08.00 PM. Warning: minibus times change according to season. You can also take a taxi from Selçuk to Şirince.
Once you reach Şirince, if you do not have a vehicle.
You can walk the 800m distance to the Village: turn left at the entrance of Şirince onto the dirt road, then follow the signs. If weather is bad, luggage is involved, or you have mobility issues, call us and we will pick you up.
