We will discover the key features in Chinese brushwork, textures and techniques to describe the characteristics of mountains and waters (It includes a crash course on ancient technique of Chinese rubbing).
Anyone over the age of 17 who wants to experience and learn this special technique is eligible. Intermediate and above knowledge of English will be helpful but not required.

Main lecturer: Giacomo Bruni
Was born in Perugia in 1986. In 2009, he graduated from the University of Perugia with a bachelor’s degree in Modern literature. He completed his Master’s degree at the University of Padova in 2013 in Medieval philology. From 2012 to 2013, he was granted a scholarship to study Chinese culture at Guangzhou University (广州大学). In 2018 he participated in an international artistic training project at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (广州美术学院). In 2019, he graduated from Jinan University in Guangzhou (暨南大学), with a Doctorate degree in Literature and Art theory. Since September 2019, he has been engaged Chinese landscape painting at the China Academy of Art (中国美术学院) in Hangzhou. He has exhibited several of his works in different cities in China. He is the founder and editor in chief of Shanshui magazine.
Assistant lecturer: Zuha Rasheed
Was born in Maldives in 1990. She completed her Bachelors at South China Normal University 华南师范大学 in Business. During this time, Chinese culture and art sparked her interest, leading her to change her major and start pursuing art. She studied Chinese woodblock carving and bird and flower painting. Since then, she has had her works exhibited in different parts of China. She is currently doing her Masters in Chinese painting at the Academy of Art in Hangzhou. She is also an editor of Shanshui magazine.
