Abstract: Euclid’s parallel postulate and how it led to hyperbolic geometry. The Poincaré half-plane model. Hyperbolic lines and circles. Möbius transformations and isometries of the hyperbolic plane. Hilbert’s coordinatization of an abstract hyperbolic plane.
