Abstract: The Gruenberg-Kegel graph of a finite group G is the simple undirected graph with vertex set the set of prime divisors of the  order of G, and such that two primes p and q are adjacent in the graph if and only if there is an element in G of order divisible by the product pq. I will give an overview of known results about this graph, with focus on the case when G is a solvable group. Time permitting, I will also mention some variations of this setting.
