Abstract: This mini-course aims to introduce basic notions of Operator Theory. In particular, the fundamental properties of Hilbert spaces will be explained. Then, adjoint of an operator, compact operators, normal operators, and self-adjoint operators will be given along with their properties. Finally, the spectrum of an operator will be defined, and the spectral properties of the abovementioned operator classes will be explained.
