Abstract: The interplay between topology and combinatorics is quite interesting. In this series of lectures, after a brief introduction to topological combinatorics, we will cover the subjects “(nonpure) shellability of complexes”, “discrete Morse theory (for posets)” and “poset fiber theorems” which are potentially useful in the study of order complexes of posets.
