Abstract: Definition and examples (free groups, Coxeter groups, groups of automorphisms of structures like isometries, general linear groups). Generators. Subgroups, examples of subgroups, cosets and quotient. Normal subgroups and the quotient group. Homomorphisms. Fundamental theorem. Conjugacy classes.
