Abstract: In Part I, I will cover the compactness theorem and some of its applications. In part II, the themes will be elementary equivalence, Ehreneucht-Fraisse games, automorphisms, and first-order definability. The material will be organized is a way to benefit students who would take both modules, but at the same time the second module will be self-contained, so Part I will not be a prerequisite.​
