Title of the course: Quantization methods
Instructor: MSc. Kirill Gubarev
Institution: Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology
Dates: 28 August – 3 September 2023
Prerequisites:
1. Classical field theory
2. Classical mechanics
3. Differential equations
4. Calculus
Level: Advanced undergraduate, beginning undergraduate
Abstract: The main goal of the course is to present an overview of some fundamental methods allowing to quantize classical systems. We will study the basic principles of canonical, path integral, deformation and geometric quantization techniques and discuss some examples of their application. Also we will review the Dirac’s approach to the quantization of constrained systems.
