Introduction to Second-order  phase transition

28 August - 3 September 2023

Title of the course: Introduction to Second-order  phase transition
Instructor: Mr. Kazarnovskii Kirill
Institution: Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology
Dates: 28 August – 3 September 2023
Prerequisites: Classical field theory, basic knowledge of mathematical analysis, differential equations and methods for calculating integrals, quantum field theory (beginner level).
Level: Advanced undergraduate, beginning undergraduate
Abstract: We will discuss second order phase transition on several examples. Starting with simple and intuitive models like Ising model, continue with more complicated cases like BCS-theory. In the end we will investigate general properties of systems with second order phase transition.
