Abstract: There are no monopoles in ordinary QED and the course is dedicated to the introduction to the theories with these field configurations as a classical solutions. We will consider such examples as Dirac monopole in QED with topological defect of space, ’t Hooft-Polyakov monopole in Georgi-Glashow model. The theory will be supplemented by a list of problems.
