Abstract: The course is devoted to gauge theories and topological soliton solution of their field equations. We will study the concept of gauge transformations, gauge potential, construct invariant Lagrangians. The last part of the course aims at explicit construction of solitonic solutions stable due to topological effects. The lecture course as accompanied by a list of problems.
