Prerequisites: Basic algebra, basics of category theory will be reviewed, but quickly (what is covered in the previous course is enough).

Abstract: We will define field extensions and study their different types, together with the automorphisms group associated to them.
The aim of the course is to state and sketch a proof of the Galois correspondence in the finite case.
At the end, we will drop the finiteness condition and see how it will lead to the need of profinite groups.
