Abstract: Bu derste reel sayılar cismi üzerinde cebirsel geometrinin temel kavramları ve temel problemleri incelenecektir. Düzlemde reel cebirsel eğriler ve Hilbert’in 16. problemi üzerinde durulacaktır. Dersi takip edebilmek için cebirsel topoloji veya cebirsel geometrinin temel kavramlarının bir kısmına aşinalık faydalı olacaktır.
(In this course, the main concepts and main problems of algebraic geometry over the field of real numbers will be studied. Real algebraic curves on the plane and Hilbert’s 16th problem will be emphasized. In order to follow the course, some previous exposure to the main concepts of algebraic topology or algebraic geometry will be useful.)
